Philip J. Hance

Philip J. Hance, 66 Of Linwood Philip J. Hance, 66, died on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born in Chester to Charles and Catherine Hance. He was reared and educated in Upland, and was a graduate of Eddystone High School with the class of 1965. Philip was a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, where he served two tours of duty. He was a former president and long-time coach of the Mickey Vernon Little League. He enjoyed going to the casino, dinners with his nephews and time spent with his cat Angel. What he enjoyed most, however, was time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Shirley Brady; 2 brothers Charles (Chick) and Denny Hance. Survivors: 2 step-daughters Kathy Fitzgerald (John) and Joanne Pierson; 1 step-son Steve Brady (Liz). Memorial Service will be celebrated at 7 PM on Tuesday, October 18th at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA.
