Ramon Salinas Jr., 56, of Abilene, Texas, passed away at Hendrick Medical Center on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 7:16 p.m. He was born April 4, 1961 to Ramon Sr. and Alexandria Salinas in Haskell, Texas.
Ramon Jr. is survived by his wife Regina of 38 years, three daughters, two sons, eight grandsons, brother Jason Salinas, three nieces, one nephew, and extended family.
Ramon Jr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
Ramon Jr. loved construction and worked as a heavy equipment operator for 8+ years until he was injured on the job. He enjoyed going to the lake with his kids and having barbeques and he loved having his grandchildren around. On weekends, he also enjoyed going looking at sceneries and going to garage sales.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Regina Salinas, 2109 Clinton St. Abilene, TX 79603.

Growing up as kids, my brother and I would look forward to hanging out with Ramon and Johnny when they would come and visit from O'brien,and also when they finally moved to Abilene in the mid 70's. So many great (and crazy) times. We're gonna to miss you cuz, and thanks for all the great memories.
