Ramona S. Sanchez went to be with the Lord, June 3, 2009 at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her mother Juanita Salinas and sister Josefina Martinez. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Porfirio Salinas, daughters; Mary Ann Fernandez (Ruben), Norma Sanchez (Richard), Gloria Sanchez, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Janie Reyes and brother Raul Salinas. A visitation will begin Sunday , June 7, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A Rosary will be recited Monday June 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Tuesday , June 9, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. Mass to be celebrated at San Alphonsus Catholic Church with interment to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Services under the direction of

I would like to thank everyone who joined us in sharing our final moments with our beloved mother. She was a beautiful person who gave her love unconditionally. I will forever be greatful to her for showing me how to be a good mother to my children and becoming the person I am today. I thank the Lord for blessing my children and grandchildren with such a wonderful and loving grandmother. She always encouraged me, my sisters and everyone in our family to always have faith in the lord. I know that one day I will see my mother again. But until then, I will forever hold her dearly in my heart and will always cherish her memory, her words of wisdom and most of all her love. God Be With You..

My Grandmother was a beautiful, remarkable and loving woman who will be immensely missed by us all. For those of us who were lucky enough to have her in our lives, know that she had a huge heart and was always there for her family and friends. She was a second Mother to me, helped raise me and was always there to comfort me throughout my childhood. Even as an adult I knew I could always count on her whenever I needed her. I am grateful to the Lord to have been blessed with such a wonderful and loving Grandmother and even more grateful to have her be apart of my children's lives as well. She made an enormous impact on my life and was an inspiration to me. She always encouraged me to follow my heart and my dreams and guided me through the tough times when I felt that life was getting too difficult for me to handle. Now that she is with the Lord, I feel as if I'm missing an enormous piece of my heart, but it gives me comfort knowing that she will be with us always in our hearts. Anthony, Alyssa and I will miss you very much Grandma. We will love you always and will forever keep your beautiful memory alive.
