Rebecca Miller Obituary
Rebecca Ann "Becky" Miller, 80, of London, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, in Doctor's Hospital West in Columbus.
Born Nov. 14, 1932, in London, she was a daughter of William Victor "Jack" and Renda Elizabeth (Penwell) Carpenter.
She was employed by General Motors in Columbus for 25 years, retiring in 1988.
A Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Lodge No. 350 in London, she was also a member of the American Legion, Post No. 105 in London and the former VFW Post 1176 in London. Becky always enjoyed casino gambling and doll collecting.
Survivors are her sons, Robert (Mary) Miller Jr. of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Willard "Eddie" Miller of London; daughters, Debra (Thomas) Hedges of Somerford, and Tina Akers of London; grandchildren, Shawn, Eric, Jamie, Jozlyn, Keith, Amy, Scott, Kathy, and Jason; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Joann Roush of London; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Eldon Miller of Springfield; and special friends, Justin Longsdorf and Scott (Edna) Caudill of London, Joe and Charla Smith and Jean Blain, all of London.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Richard "Dick" Miller; a son, Thomas Michael Miller; a niece, Cheryl Matthews; several brothers and sisters; and a special friend, Ronald Cooper.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Rev. Steve Rodgers will be officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, where Eagle's Lodge Services will be held at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
