I knew Dick from the Kitchen resturant on 18th street. He was a very funny guy, he always made me laugh, and never seemed to be too busy to talk with me.
My blessings go out to all his family and the many, many friends that he had.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Dick. He was a dear friend of my dad's (Forest McCowen). I saw Dick a couple of years ago when I came to the falls to visit. It was a joy to see him and talk about the old times. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you.

Just thinking about you makes me happy. "How ya doin cuz" will no longer be heard. Out of sight, out of mind-not a chance. How lucky I was to have a cousin to lean on, laugh with, and call my friend.

I have known Dick since North Junior High School, over 70 years ago. I have not seen him in several years, but if you knew Dick you didn't forget him. He was a good man and a good friend. There is more laughter in heaven today because Dick has arrived.

Niagara Falls has a little less personality today. Dick was my uncle and to say being around him was a lot of fun is an understatement. everyone who knew him knows what I mean. He will be missed. Sheree, myself and kids have will be thinking and praying for the family..."The Mayor of 18th St has left the building...."
