BUSHEE
RICHARD E. Jr. "DICK"
Age 86, of Ft. Myers, FL, on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Beloved husband of Sharon R. (Schlachter) Bushee; loving father of Sharon Skender (John), Richard Bushee III (Jill), Michele Hoot (Byron), Steven Bushee (Jennifer), Philip Bushee and Mark Bushee; brother of Alice Campbell (John) and the late Eileen Stromquist, Mildred Slinskey, Daniel Bushee and Chris Vasquez; brother-in-law of Linda Weber (Richard), Nadine Stark, and Anita Hollander; also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; special uncle to Timothy Stark (Judy) and Katie Stark Spanos (Nick). Friends received Monday 4-8 and Tuesday 2-4 and 5:30-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., 724-772-8800. Service in Grace Community Church Wednesday 11 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Dick lived his life in Pittsburgh, starting his business, Mailing Services of Pittsburgh, Inc. (MSP) in 1954 in his basement with his father. Over the years, the business grew at an incredible pace, and is now located in Freedom, PA. Throughout his career, the Salvation Army became his largest client, and he formed close relationships with them that lasted a lifetime. Retiring in 1992, he moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and golf. Over the years, he became the best buddy and mentor to his many friends and neighbors. He loved his wife, his family, his friends, and most of all, his life. He was a one-of-a-kind man, who touched so many lives with his smile, wisdom, love, and kindness. Contributions to The Salvation Army are welcome, as this organization was near and dear to Dick's heart. The Salvation Army, Western PA Div., P.O. Box 742, 700 North Bell Ave., Carnegie, PA 15106.

Sharon and Dick's Family: we share your sorrow at the loss of Dick, a great guy who was fun to play golf with at Shadow Wood.
He helped me and other new members to get settled in the golf group, and it was educational to share a cart with him and learn of
some his life experiences. All the best to you Sharon in your future years.

Rest In Peace Dick. I worked at MSP in early 70's. He was a special friend I will never forget. Many good memories.

Sherry, Rich, P.J., Michele, Steven and Mark, I can tell you that Dick helped me in the biggest way when we were starting Thorn Hill. I was watching my father slowly pass away with cancer and going through a divorce at the same time. Dick would pull me aside and cheer me up, encourage me and guide me. I could have just given up but Dick would not let me. I owe much of my success in both life and business to Mr. Dick Bushee. I have since re married, had 4 boys, own a couple businesses and I can look back and truly
say Dick Bushee led me along. May you rest in Peace and thank you so much. God Bless you all real good!

Sincerest condolences to Sharon and the family. . . . I, too, am a proud former member of the MSP team and thoroughly enjoyed working there. I think of MSP often and especially when Salvation Army's mail arrives at my house. It was our largest client in mail volume. . . . . When Dick and Sharon married, it was fitting that the spiritual leader of the Salvation Army performed their marriage ceremony. Dick, a handsome groom. Sharon, a beautiful bride. A wedding, very meaningful. A reception, beyond compare. . . . . .I enjoyed being in Dick's company, listening to his sage advice, humor, and seeing the love in his eyes for Sharon. . . . .R.I.P., Dick.

Sherry, Rich, P.J., Michele, Steven and Mark, my condolences on the loss of your father. I remember uncle Rich as a young child growing up and the great times we all had at the many reunions at Papap and Grandma's home in Rosslyn Farms. Sorry I cannot pay my respects in person. We are in Florida until mid June.

Mr.Bushee was a kind man. I worked for him at mailing services in the early 80s. I was a struggling single mom and he graciously loaned me money for a badly needed car. I will never forget his kindness. He changed my life. May you rest in peace Mr. Bushee. You are fondly remembered. My condolences to the Bushee family.

Words on this page can never express what Mr. B meant to me - so please know that I loved him. I am a better man because of my friendship with him. Family is so much more than just blood - it is the heart and he will be there forever.
