Richard Koeppe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 24 to Mar. 25, 2006.
The Rev. Richard H. Koeppe passed from this world on March 23, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. His family celebrates his commitment to a life of service. He served our country for 7 and a half years in the United States Navy. He spent the next 8 years traveling the world doing geological surveys. After this time, he felt that God was calling him to a life of service to the Lord. He ran a half way house in Galveston for run-a-ways for several years, trying to help children become re-united with the Lord and their families. Then he felt that God was calling him to more active service in the ministry. He graduated from the Presbyterian seminary in Austin, Texas. He spent the next 30 years serving the Lord. He preached the word of God in Silsbee, Texas; Laferia & Mercedes, Texas; Mena, Arkansas; Cushing, Oklahoma; and Nocona, Texas. While the family grieves for its loss, it also celebrates a life lived giving service to God, knowing that he has joined the Lord in Heaven. He is survived by his spouse, Eileen Koeppe; his brother Douglas F. Koeppe; his daughter, Tracy Garland; his niece, Dee Milam; his nephew, Douglas Koeppe Jr.; his many grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, Rebecca, Joshua, Brian, Christopher, and Katelyn; his grand niece and grand nephew, Grace and Ben Milam; and his grand niece, Haley Love. I loved the "Koeppe Man" He and Eileen were my strengh and refuge at a time in my life in Nocona, TX. I am confidant that I am not the only life he and Eillen have touched. He will be truly missed. My sympathy to Eileen, Tracy, and the grandkids. I'll light a candle for you.

My love to all,

Debi

A wonderful human being diligently sharing the gospel through a life of dedicated service to the Lord.

He impacted positively the lives of literally thousands of ordinary people with his teaching and compassion. He did this in a way that never emphasized himself, but always exalted God. We treasure his friendship and family.

Richard was a fine and loving individual who left this world a better place than he found.
