Richard POET Obituary
He was a graduate from Derry Township High School, Lewistown and was a US Army veteran having served his country in the 2349th Group of the Army Air Corp. Richard loved hunting and fishing, doing scroll sawing, mowing grass, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Surviving are his son, Norman Poet; his 4 daughters, Dorinda, Denise, Laurie, Christy and their spouses; 15 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary D. Poet.
Per his request, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, or to Hospice of Central PA.
Arrangements by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Inc.

Sorry pap for not being there with you may you fly high in the heavens wish I could have said something else to you but I know you are not in any more pain rest easy and do some hunting and fishing and watch over us and give gram and mom mom a big hug and kiss from all of us.

my dad you don't know how much you are missed her at this house , its to quiet and i look for you every morning and sometimes just wait for you to come out of your room , or just going for a drive to the stores or just taking road trips ,i miss you forever and always , give mom hugs and a kiss from me and i'll see you when my time comes fly high and watch over us ...love you
