RICHARD L.
Age 75, of Clinton Township, passed away on December 7, 2006 after a courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma. Born February 28, 1931 in Rural Ridge, PA, son of the late Michael and Josephine (Suvoy) Sekara. Also preceded in death by one sister, the late Roseanne Lesseski, one brother, the late Raymond Sekara, and one granddaughter, the late Gabrielle Sekara. Beloved husband of Ruth A. (Wise) Sekara, whom he married on September 9, 1955. Loving father of Karen (Mark) Crumpton of CA, Kathi Sekara of Natrona Heights and Paul (Amy) Sekara of Butler. Loving grandfather of Adam Will of DE and Hunter Sekara of WV. A Korean War Veteran, Richard went on to work in the steel industry for Roessing and Bronze in Mars for 45 years. He was a man who loved and supported his family, was an avid Steeler's fan and enjoyed spending time in his flower gardens. The Sekara family invites friends to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 11am in Glade Run Presbyterian Church, Rt. 8, Valencia, with Rev. Greg Wiest, officiating. The interment will be held privately in Bull Creek Cemetery, West Deer Township. The Sekara family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful nurses at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, and Maria Jamaine and Sister Catherine, also a special thanks to Dr. Domenick DeFrances for his wonderful care, along with Dr. Sandra Blakowski from the VA of Pittsburgh.
