Robert BINDER Obituary
Robert Carl Binder, of Far Hills, NJ and Hobe Sound, FL, formerly of Summit, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Bob was born in Pensacola, FL in 1944. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Suzan, and children Heather (Peter, Jr.) Kapsimalis, Carlin Binder, Brendan (Kristina) Binder, and Ashlee (Frank) McMackin. He is also survived by his grandchildren Peter, Nicholas, Lily, Charlotte, Brendan, Olyvia and Quin. Bob graduated from Summit High School in Summit, NJ and then graduated from Parsons College in Iowa. He started his career alongside his father at Binder Machinery Company in Union, NJ. He was the second generation of a family owned business. Binder Machinery was his passion. He lived for his company. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Bob was a lover of books; a voracious reader who always felt that to give a good book or to receive one was a most meaningful gift. A private family service was held. A celebration of life service will be held for family and friends at the United Methodist Church in Summit, NJ on Wednesday, June 14 at 4:00PM which will be followed by a reception in the church social hall. My good friend and brother for 61 years. I cannot express how deep my pain is in Bob's passing. Many years

We are so sad to hear our old friend Bob (Bindy) has left us. I have so many memories filled with laughter of our times as young adults together. I pray for Suzan and family. He was so present in all our lives. Bindy, please say hello to Mike and Eddy for me. Love, Gale

So very sorry to learn this past week of Bob's passing. We began in middle school together, sharing a dedication to ice hockey. In high school we grew a bit a part only because of my expanded interest in music and less upon sports.
Bob took up other interests.
I have always admired the friendship Bob Sr. had, Bob Jr.'s father, with my father Clinton J Everett Jr. since they were classmates through high school at Columbia h.s. in Maplewood. My Dad pointed out Bob sr.'s photo in various locations in the high school annual (year book).
