Bob Blake of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the age of 82 years. He proudly served with the Royal Canadian Navy and had an extensive career with the City of Calgary. Bob enjoyed mountain climbing, skiing and golfing. Bob is survived by four children, Donald Blake, Lindy Blake, Lori Jones, and Corrine (Mark) Kinzell; eight grandchildren, Tara, Tyler, Amber, Dustin, James, Jason, Sydney, and Lauren; as well as his great- grandchildren. A Gathering of relatives and friends will be held in the Reception Centre at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in memory of Bob may be made directly to the Rosedale Hospice, #1245 – 70 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2X8, Telephone: (403) 284 – 5195. The family wish to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at Rosedale Hospice for the care they provided. In living memory of Bob Blake, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
