I had the opportunity to work with Bob at EMC. I'll certainly miss our daily instant messaging sessions where he would outline the work for the day. Thanks Bob for your insight, friendship and support. All good memories.

We learned of Bob's passing after the fact returning from FL. We would run into Bob all over town and always enjoyed a lively conversation. He was a great neighbor and will certainly be missed! Please except our condolences.

I knew Bobby at Little Alum. We caught many fish from Laurel Ledge and stacked a lot of wood together! Although a long time ago, the memories are vivid. My condolences.

Dear Carol, Bob was one of life's more unforgettable people. We were always impressed by Bob's diversity of skills and interests. He was truly a Renaissance man. We knew him principally through politics where he was an active and energetic participant. It's easy to become pessimistic and cynical in politics. Not so with Bob. He was optimistic, supportive and dedicated to the common good. We will miss his friendly and easy-going manner. Gary and Lenore Patton

Bob,
I enjoyed working with you very much and our daily 10 AM meeting won't be the same without your voice. I wish I get to know you and your family more personally. However, the many weekend chats we had are very personal to me: I know how cold and the amount of snow you got at you house last Christmas. It is a personal loss for me. The only comfort I got was able to talk to you on April 15. You mentioned Reed brought you a piece of Kittyhawk RTM cake, felt really proud of the Kittyhawk success, and was going to come back for Kittyhawk+. I know the Kittyhawk family is very personal to you as well. I will miss you and come to say goodbye to you today.

Bob used to sit in the cube next to me in Westboro and brought me free eggs. Some of them were huge he said it was because the chickens were free range I used to give him a hard time and say it was because he was down wind from Seabrook. You have to like a guy that brings free eggs and if they are radioactive.

Bob was such a great friend and colleague. He was always there to help out his co-workers. In many occasions, he would dive into other people's problems and provide the best possible solutions, no matter how tight his own schedule was. He will be greatly missed as a dear and warm-hearted friend!

I suppose I could fill this message box with stories of how Bob was my goto lab guy whenever I had disk faults. Instead I'll write how I'll cherish always the smile and home-grown melon he blessed me with a few years ago ! Bob's candor, helpfulness, and genius are missed on our daily 10am work calls. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob's loved ones.

Dearest Carol, There is little that can be said at a time like this. But I'd like you to know that our thought & prayers are with you.
We will always remember the person that would give us a tour of the house showing us the latest project he finished like the kitchen he made just for you and the beautiful master bedroom.
There are lots of good time & memories at High Street to cherish. With Love

Uncle Bob, I am going to miss you. More so my wife, your niece Christina is missing you soo. She is amazing and you deserve some thanks for that. I have heard the stories about you two working on that splendid backyard paradise of yours more than I can count, and I am thankful for you and Aunty Carol for sharing that paradise with us to be united. That time you spent with her played a big role in who she has become. I am excited that your time spent on this planet meant so much to so many in an inspiring way. You are someone to truly look up to. I am so happy that I got a chance to see you a little bit ago. When I did visit you I was entirely amazed by your positive and hopeful attitude, even when you knew what you were facing you were standing tall with the grace of an angle. Your trail of footsteps on our planet may be finished but there are many to continue the path with the morals and values you have shared with the ones you loved. Thank you for welcoming Zander and I into your family, home and heart like you have known us for a liftime. I love you...

Carol and family, I am saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I remember first meeting Bob in the mid 1980's and we really hit it off - we had a lot in common. Airplanes, software, computer networks and cold Budweiser's. Bob was one of the kindest people that I have ever met. We are all blessed to have had known him in our lifetime.
Words can never express how one feels during such a sad time, but please know that I am thinking of you all.
May my friend Bob rest in peace.

Carol,
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and my friend Bob. My deepest sympathies to you and the family. I have many stories about Bob. They are great stories about a guy who was enthusiastic about the world he lived in. I know that he cared immensely for his family. He loved you very much. He was very proud of both. I remember the huge grin when you received a thank you vacation through work. We teased him about becoming a pig farmer….but he was very happy about how it happened. He was very passionate about his work and committed to performing it well. I enjoyed working with him because he was brilliant at his approach and obsessed with doing it right. We probably discussed every topic there is during our friendship so I know very well his generous inclusive attitude. When the day was over, he would often call me from his commute home and we would continue the discussion. I could always expect a phone call telling me about road conditions, weather, or traffic. He was a tremendous mentor to several young colleagues. They have great respect for Bob. He would tell me often how good they were. He helped everyone and I am one. I am lucky to have known Bob and I will miss him greatly.

What a wonderful collegue and friend to work with. Helpful, smart, insightful and passionate. Bob was fun to work with, and made our office a better place. I saw someone else use the word "genuine" which is a perfect way to describe him. We will miss him every day. Our hearts go out to all his family from his friends at work.

Carol. . . I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was such a wonderful person. I enjoyed all the time that I spent with him. I especially loved walking through the house with him as he proudly explained the details of his latest renovation. He was a scholar and a gentleman and will be sadly missed. And know that I am there for you whenever you need me. I love you and all that you have gained from being Bob's Wife. . . your faithful cousin, Melikka

Bob was a rare treasure that I was blessed to know and work with for 3 short years. He did what we all just talk about, he made a difference and took action. He left his mark on not only the people he knew but on those that he helped and were affected by his public involvement. And I never got to say thank you.
