Born Dec. 25, 1937, in Vandergrift, he lived in the Kiski Valley all of his life.
He was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and received degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University.
Mr. Goldstrom was an entrepreneur and involved in a number of businesses.
He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, New Kensington, and Hill Crest Country Club, Lower Burrell.
Mr. Goldstrom enjoyed gardening, cars, antiques and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Townsend Goldstrom; two sons, Robert A. Goldstrom Jr. and Jeffrey A. Goldstrom, both of Allegheny Township; a daughter, Crystal L. Goldstrom Magness of Allegheny Township; nine grand-children; and a brother, Leslie Goldstrom of Taylor, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Doris Mae Wombacker Goldstrom; two brothers, the Rev. James A. Goldstrom Jr. and David Goldstrom; and a sister, Betty Goldstrom.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME, a Golden Rule member, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Kurt W. Skelly will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
