HANSON, Robert ''Bob''
Robert ''Bob'' Hanson was born on April 16, 1926, in Portsmouth, N.H., and passed away on Monday, February 2, 2009, after a long battle with heart disease and Diabetes. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Florence Hanson, a daughter Becky Neilson of Sheridan, Calif., a son Rob and his wife Pat Hanson of Dallas, Ore.; five grandsons, Bill Neilson and his wife Christina, daughter Hazel, Daniel, James and Kurtis Neilson, Jason DeJager and his wife Ruby, daughters Angelina and Jay-Ann; three granddaughters, Donette Dunsworth and her husband William Lopez, Camille Neilson, and Amanda Gallagher and her fiance Jason, daughters Megan and Autumn; great-granddaughters Tressa and husband Michael Kelly (career Navy, presently stationed in Hawaii), great-granddaughter Mattie and great-granddaughter Lindsey Lopez. Bill Neilson is a Marine Deployed in the Pacific and James is a recruit in Army Armored division at Ft Knox, Ky. Bob was in the Army Air Force during WWII for four years. He received a B.S. in Agricultural/ Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine. Bob and Flo lived in the Roseville area for 45 years. Bob was a ''Rockhound'' and loved going out with other Rockhounds in California and Nevada collecting rocks and polishing them for clocks, belt buckles and bolos. He was a member of the Springvale Maine blue lodge for over 50 years. He was a 32 degree Mason in Sacramento Scottish Rite. He was a 4-H Project leader for Eureka and Hidden Valley 4-H clubs while Becky and Rob were members. Memorial Services will be Saturday February 7, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at LAMBERT'S FUNERAL HOME, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville. He will be cremated and his ashes inurned in the new National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif., at a later date. Friends are invited to their home after the ceremony. In lieu of flowers make donations to Heart Assn. or Diabetes Assoc.
