Robert T. Hare, 73, died Saturday, September 25, 2004. He was the husband of Atwile Kemper 'A.' (Arney) Phillips Hare to whom he was married for 40 years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 Second St. New Freedom with the Rev. Carroll Brown officiating. Interment will be in Wiseburg Cemetery, White Hall, Md. Viewings will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Born January 2, 1931 in Beckleysville, Md., a son of the late William W. and Bertha L. (Hale) Hare, Sr., he was a member and deacon of Loch Raven Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughter, Joyce Ann Boland; step daughters, Ruth Ann 'Susie' Strobel and Rita Lynn Sorensen; step sons, David, Louis, Clyde, and Larry Phillips; grandson, Robert Boland; sister, Lillian Hare; brothers, Donald, Grayson, and Leonard Hare, Sr.; seven step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Bob was a good and godly man. He was a picture of dedication and faithfulness, as well as hard work. I am honored to be able to call him my friend! My family and I will miss him terribly! But we praise God that we shall see him again in eternity!

Bob was a wonderful person and a pillar of our LRB church for many years. He will be deeply missed by all of us who knew him - but we live with the blessed assurance of his new life -- Everlasting with Christ our Saviour.
