"Uncle Bob" and "Aunt Polly" were so good to us as kids. Bob and my father were colleagues. I miss his spunk, his wit, and intelligence. If I had been a little older and more appreciative.... I will plant trees to honor him.

I would like to express my sincerest condolences to the entire Heitner Family.
I received my BA in German in 1970 and my MA in 1976 at UIC in Chicago. I always found Dr. Heitner to be a great teacher and a great administrator. He will be missed by many.
