ROBERT MININGHAM

MININGHAM--Robert Darcy of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, died April 15th at Calvary Hospital after battling bladder cancer for more than three years. Robert was born April 4, 1942 in Yonkers, son of George W Miningham and Lillyann Wegener Miningham. Robert graduated from Halstead School and Davis and Elkins College. He enjoyed sports, photography, and travel and had a passion for computers. Robert worked for Columbia University's Hudson Labs as an oceanographer, using computer systems to map the ocean floor. He married Barbara Ann Haas in 1965. In 1977 Robert became co-owner of the highly respected computer software firm, Miningham & Oellerich, Inc, (M&O), 40 Fulton St, New York, which specializes in front and back office solutions (data management) for broker-dealers using "Serve me! Suite." Robert is survived by his loving wife; two of his three beloved daughters, Elisabeth Miningham Monsour (Roy), Katherine Darcy Miningham (deceased 1997), and Victoria Chas Miningham; his Goddaughter, Kristen Blakely; his four beloved grandchildren; his nephew George Miningham; his niece Monica Widing; and his sister Karen Ives. Celebration of Robert's Life will be held at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, April 23, 7-9pm. Robert's daughters have created a website, www.seizetheribbon.com, to raise money for research to fight bladder cancer.
