Robert Gerald "Bob" Moore

Robert Gerald "Bob" Moore, 77, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, passed away Monday, September 1, 2008, while doing what he loved best, hunting with his boys. He was born November 27, 1930, at Van Buren, MO, where he was raised and received his education. On November 22, 1949, he married Doris Pace at East Wenatchee, where they made their home. Bob was a longtime carpenter in the Wenatchee Valley and was a member of the Western Washington Carpenter Trust, Local 2205 since 1965. For a time, he owned his own company, R.G. Moore Construction. He left an enormous thumb print in the Valley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stories, farming and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris, of East Wenatchee; children, Jerry Moore of Spokane, Rick and Eve Moore of Kettle Falls, Kelly Moore of Wenatchee, David Moore of East Wenatchee, Sherry Moore of Entiat, Kathy Moore of Carnation, Lora and Jim Jaeger of North Port, FL and Trisha and Bill Walker of East Wenatchee; one sister, Nova Payne of Michigan; nine grandchildren, Anne Marie, Sophia, Amanda, Jami, Corinne, Kathryn, Robert, Jessie and Berlie; and three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Dominick and Armando. A Memorial Service will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Garrett Jester and Rev. Jim Jaeger officiating. Those who wish, may make memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or The American Diabetes Association. A reception will follow at, "The fish fry under the walnut tree" at Bob's, 211 S. Kentucky, East Wenatchee. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
