Robert Moritz Obituary
Robert Frederick Moritz, age 77, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at home with his family and special friends by his side. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Valdosta Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Jeff Newton officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Moritz served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company after working there for 32 years. He retired from the ministry after 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Moritz; daughters, Phyllis Jones, Sharon Tipping and Lauretta Stephens; sister, Theresa Seitz; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

To the moritz family. Brother bob was such an inspiration to me and my wife. He was like a grandfather to us, one who would hug the wind out of you and tell you he loved you. He was such a Godly inspiration to all of our youth in north Ridgeville. We will miss him and look forward to the day in glory when we can tell him how much he meant to us in this world. Shirley, our hearts are heavy and we share your grief. I know he has shed this imperfect world and lives in glory. With all our love and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was an awesome preacher/teacher. I could sit and listen to his sermons all day long and never get tired of hearing the word. His love for the Lord and for others was something to behold. Bob touched my family's heart in so many ways. He baptized my children and for that I will always be grateful. Dear Shirley and family; I know Bro. Bob touched so many lives however most of us felt that he made us stronger believers and people who want to share our faith with others. He always challenged me to love the Lord and live my life serving one TRUE GOD!! He lived what he preached and never wavered from the the truth of the Word. I know many souls were saved because of his sermons. I love you all and share in your loss but rejoice with the saints in Heaven and I am sure he is up there getting ready to hold a revival. I have many great memories of the times spent with your family because you all made me feel I was truly a sister and good friend. I love you.
