Ron Beasley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 12, 2017.
Dr. Ron Beasley was born March 19, 1955 in Fort Worth, TX to Tom & Eva Jo Beasley and went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2017 in Fort Worth. Dr. Ron is survived by his wife of 41 years, Becky Beasley. He and Becky have raised two wonderful children daughter, Erynn Shipley & husband Blake; son, Ryan Beasley & wife Megan. His legacy of a servant heart has been passed down to his grandchildren: Parke Shipley, Leighton Shipley, Ben Shipley, Charlee Beasley & Paxton Beasley. Ron was one of 5 children in his family and is survived by his brother, Robert Beasley & wife Stacy; sisters, Juanita Jones and Debbie Howard & husband Gary and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family & friends. He is now with his sister Janet Colvin.

He met Jesus on December 11, but he has known Jesus for a long time. We are sure he and Jesus have talked personally and are now getting to hang out. Ron was a man who had a gift of wisdom, he was a great listener and a man of discipline. People who were in crisis often went to him first. He would pray with them and offer sage advice. The impact this man of God has had is incalculable. The loss is huge, but the impact of his beautiful soul and life are so far reaching. Ron knew the Bible inside and out. He loved like no other. He changed our lives and so many others. Ron met his wife Becky at ACU and knew he would marry her at first sight. After graduating from ACU with a Master's in Bible Ron followed that with another Master's degree in Psychology and eventually a PhD in counseling Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. He worked in private practice for 12 years and then as a business and organizational consultant in executive development and building healthy cultures. Ron was currently the Pastoral Care Minister for The Hills Church. His journey led down many paths, but the events that had the biggest impact on his faith were the birth of his kids, the opportunity to baptize them, and officiating both of their marriage ceremonies. Ron lived with purpose and passion. He was purposeful in his relationships with friends, family and especially his grandkids. He loved to play with his grandkids in the pool, play ball in the yard, read stories to them at night with silly voices and drive miles to their events. He laughed and danced through life with his wife, kids and grandkids with his memorable smile and sparkly blue eyes.

Ron loved the verses in Philippians 2:5-11 because they describe the attitude and example of what true humility is and all that Christ did for me. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at The Hills Church – North Richland Hills Campus, 6300 NE Loop 820, North Richland Hills, TX 76180.

I was in Ron and Beckys youth group at Alta Mesa in Fort Worth. Ron was anointed with wisdom beyond his years. He poured into the Huddle leaders (young married couples) and into me and the other high schoolers who came from many different high schools. At the time I couldn't explain the special , powerful presence Ron shared with so many. Now at 54 ,I realize the Holy Spirit was with Ron and with our group in a mighty way. He made difference in my earthly life and heavenly life forever and ever!
My prayers of comfort are for you Becky and your children and precious grandchildren. May God be close to all of you.

My heart goes out to Ron's family, especially to Debbie, Robert and Juanita. He will be missed. I would like to think that Ron will now Rest in Piece, but that was never Ron's style. I am sure he is already busy reaching out to other souls trying to help.

Ron and I were business colleagues for over twenty years. He used assessment tools supplied by my company, Outmatch (formerly Assess Systems), in his business. He was such a pleasure to work with -- smart, professional, respectful. I always looked forward to our conversations. I will miss him!

An incredible man. There have been three pivotal times in my life, that the course to heaven has been redirected. Dr. Ron, you are one of those times. Your wisdom, teaching, and mentorship in the bible and community was life changing for me. Thank you for sharing your heart, your mind with so many...including myself. The direction of my and my family's life looks different because you shared Jesus with me. Thank you.
