Rosa Rezendes Obituary
Born in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Azores, she lived in New Bedford for 41 years and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Mrs. Rezendes was formerly employed at local textile shops until her retirement.
Survivors include three sons, Antonio Manuel Resendes and his wife, Conceicao of Sao Miguel, Azores, Jose Resendes and his wife, Maria Jose of Cambridge, MA, and Jaime Resendes of New Bedford; three daughters, Maria Ponte and her husband, Abel of Dartmounth, Natalia Moura and Ines Furtado, both of New Bedford. Also survived by twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Wednesday 5 to 8 PM at the CABRAL BAYLIES SQUARE-LAMOUREUX FUNERAL HOME, 512 North Front Street, New Bedford. Funeral Thursday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment at St. John Cemetery.
Handicapped accessible and lighted parking area at the rear of funeral home.
