Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8.
Mr. Boutwell was born Nov. 18, 1920, in Florala, the son of the late Thomas Henry Boutwell and Edna Chance Boutwell. Mr. Boutwell served with the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945. He was assigned to the 7th Photo Recon Group, 325th photographic wing in Mt. Farm, England. He was employed with civil service at Maxwell Field in Montgomery as an aircraft mechanic for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Boutwell and a brother, James Boutwell.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ruth Boutwell of Ariton; two sisters-in-law, Katherine Jolly of Dallas and Grace Griffin of Ariton; nephew, Tommy Boutwell of Dallas and a niece, Kay Boutwell of Houston. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, (334) 774-4551, is in charge of arrangements.

I would like to give my deepest sympathy to the Boutwell family. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Boutwell at the Ariton Medical Clinic as Dr. Ennis' assistant. He will be greatly missed.
