Russell Dobbs Obituary
Rev. Dobbs was a native of Cherokee, Ala., and a member of Muscle Shoals Church of God. Russell loved his family and loved to preach the word of God. He lived with his faith when most people would have given up. He testifed to others of Jesus' soon return and of the love and grace of God at every opportunity.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Russ and Velma Dobbs, and brother, Joseph Leon Cobb Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kimberly Dobbs; devoted son and friend, Kyle Dobbs; birth mother and special friend, Mary Tillman and husband, Jack Sr.; brother, Jack Tillman Jr.; sisters, Patricia Overly and Marge Herron; sister-in-law, Rita Cobb; mother-in-law, Elloween Smelser Bolton; beloved friend, Mike Clark; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Hubbard, Chad Cabaniss, John Robert Townsend, Josh Yarber, Bart Goins and Andrew Risner.
Memorials may be made to the National M.S. Society.
Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, will be directing.

Kim and Klye,
I would like you both know how much Russell is going to be missed. I miss his smile and hearing him sing his Auburn song so much. If there is anything I can do please let me know. He is gone to a better place and he is not anymore pain.

I regret not having visited Russell recently to hear him sing the Auburn fight song. I have missed having him around but Heaven is blessed to have him now and we all know that he is whole again.
