Russell McKINNON Obituary
July 28, 1926 - September 8, 2012
Russell McKinnon peacefully passed away with his family by his side on September 8, 2012. He was a dedicated husband to his wife of 48 years, Elva; a loving father and grandfather to his twin sons, Darcy (Heather) and Daryl (Sherrill) and grandchildren: James, Brayden, Aveline and Carina. He will also be deeply missed by his brother Harvey (Inga) and many other family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Leyden's Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W. Telephone 403-228-4422) on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation (100, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6) or the charity of your choice. Our thoughts are with Elva and family at this difficult time. Tom drove bus with Russ at PWT and there was never a dull moment. He will be missed by all those that knew him.

I taught you both in school many years ago and have fond memories of those days. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I would think your father was a great man to have raised fine sons like you. May God's presence be very real to you and your families at this difficult time.
