Ruth Baptiste Obituary
She was born in New Bedford and lived in Fairhaven and returned to New Bedford in 1979. She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper.
In her leisure time she enjoyed attending yard sales and meat raffles, but most of all she loved being with her family, grandchildren and her cat "Sassy."
Survivors include her son, Robert J. Baptiste and his companion, Debbie Gautreau and her six children; two daughters, Sandra Baptiste and Sharon Rego, both of Freetown; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was the mother of the late Steven Baptiste and sister of the late Delores Savaria.
Visitation will be Monday 5-7 PM at Rock Funeral Home. Her Funeral Services will be Tuesday in the Funeral Home at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
