To Sam's friends and family:
I didn't know Sam in person (although I'm fairly local), but I did correspond with him via email when I was running Mecha Domain (known as MAHQ today). He was a very friendly guy who put in a lot of hard work to help me both before and after I had retired from running the site. It's very sad to see such a young fan leave us, but we shall all keep Sam alive in our thoughts and memories. All hands, salute to exZERO!

Unbeleivable. It's been a long time since I've had any contact with Sam. But there was a time on Gundam message boards where I argued with him constantly whether it be over his Onion-style Gundam parody and my intent on being fecesious and nitpick grammar(as a joke), the worth of G-Saviour as a coaster, or arguing over the merits of the Guncannon in Zeonic Front and his annoyance that he wanted to shelve the game forever never to play again but couldn't yet, I still remember those fondly, and remember being accosted frequently.
But still I remember him fondly, always with valuable incite, always someone whose incite I wanted to know.
The man was bright and he was witty and he will be sorely missed. Neither the online Gundam community nor the world as a whole will be the same without him.

You know, you go on a site and you never really think about all the hard work people put into it. You come and look at the pictures and all the information on it, but rarely does your mind go out to think about the guy who went searching for those pics. Who went to the trouble and took time out of his day to bring us, the viewers, something that we love. As a fellow Gundam fan, I like to thank you Sam for all the hard work you have placed into bringing the world of Gundam closer to all of us. The passing of someone is never easy and though it may pain us, try to remember the person for all the good things they were. Though I never got the chance to meet or talk to Sam, I will remember him for the person who helped me get a better understanding of gundam as well as helping me with pics for my fanfics.
This Gundam Seed song Moment which I'm listening to now goes out to Sam, his family, and friends. Bless you all.

Sam Baker aka exZERO, I didn't know you in person, but I've just learnt about your death, through the MAHQ. I'm very repentant about not talking much to you in the Gundam.com forums, and even more since I thought back then that you were a good person, and should've done so. I'm sorry, and I honestly hope you rest in peace.

I can't profess that I knew Sam very well at all - to me he was exZERO on #MAHQ's chatroom. I might not have known much of anything about him, but we did have many conversations in the channel, and I always admired his wit and intelligence even if we were usually on opposite ends of an arguement.
Jessica, I thought you should know that he spoke of you fondly and often. He was very proud of you and never hesitated to tell the rest of us how great his "Jess" was. I feel absolutely torn for you and for Sam's family. Nothing can ever replace him.. but in the end, you still have memories.
Hold onto them.

I didn't know him, nor have I ever had the pleasure of speaking with him. A man should consider himself lucky to be honored by so many. I lack the words myself. From one who has lost a friend to tragic circumstances, to another, I offer my scincerest condolences.
I'm sure he's incredibly honored to have such friends.

It's a sad, sad day when a friend dies.....I will (and everyone else also) will miss Sam's humor, happiness, and overall joy he shared with everyone. Although this pain is deep, and sincere. I must think about the great times, and hold his image up high, and let it shine. Shine with happiness, joy, humor, and intelligence... All the traits that made Sam great.
Sam - my heart and strength go out to all of your friends, and family, and I'll keep a smile on my face... Just like you would want all of us to do.

I've never heard of Sam until I saw the message at MAHQ. I'd never heard of his contributes to the site or anything else, yet strangly reading the message effected me. It's truely a loss, it seems he was a great guy. It's sad to lose a fellow Gundam fan, as well, for there are so few of us.
I'm truely and deeply sorry for your loss. My depest appologies for what has happend. I wish his family and friends lots of luck.

To Samuel's family:
I was shocked at the news. I had spoken with him a lot at Gundam sites, and he was always understanding and polite. I read the news and couldn't believe it. Dear Family of Sam,
I did not know Sam or have a chance to meet him. But, I can tell that all the things that people say about him, he sounded like a really great person. Even though he lived only to be 21. You gave him the chance to do the things he loved. I know what it is like to lose someone, and I feel deeply sorry for what has happened. For Sam, Rest In Peace my friend. We'll all miss you...

First, I want to say how frustrated I am that I couldn't make his funeral. He, like so many others, would ask me occasionally, "so when you coming back to Texas?" If I would have found out about this a day sooner I could have been there. This is the first death of anyone close to I have had to deal with, and I have to be honest, I don't know how...The world lost a very great person a week ago, and left behind so many friends and loved ones.

My name is Jenny Ferguson, and I was on the beach Saturday morning when your son was found. I just wanted you to know, that I could tell that he came from a nice family, and was loved. I hope I am not intruding at this difficult time, but felt it was important that you know he was properly cared for by the authorities. Sincerely -Jenny Ferguson
