Sherry Roxane Chaney

Sherry R. Chaney, age 75 of Riverton, WV, formerly of Desoto, MO, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. She was born on February 16, 1942 in Cumberland, MD, the daughter of the late Earl E. and Mary Jane Adams Chaney and her step mother, Arvella Phares Chaney.

Sherry attended John Humbard Elementary School and was a 1960 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a graduate of Catherman's Business College. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cumberland, MD. Sherry retired in 1990 from Harstan Tie Company in Maryland where she had worked as an Administrative Assistant.

Mrs. Chaney is survived by: her husband, Terry Boone of Riverton, WV; her first husband, Thomas Louis Melanson of Hartford, CT; 2 daughters, Jessica Baldwin of Frederick, MD, April Alicia Walls of Greenbrier, TN; 2 sons, Mark Melanson of Wilmington, DE, Todd Matthew Melanson of Minneapolis, MN; a sister, Denise Kittle of Baltimore, MD; a brother, Dale Kittle of Baltimore; and 4 grandchildren, Justyn Case Walls, Eric Brent Walls, Jr., Rachel Faye Walls, and Nathanael Maddox Melanson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, James William Baldwin; a brother, Rev. Royce Chaney; and a sister, Linda Ann Weber.
