Shirley Dorrier Obituary
Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Edwin P. and Mary (Sherback) Gibson; the sister of Faye A. Yingling and the late Lillian Bailey; and the wife of the late Walter James Dorrier, who passed away in 1977.
She worked at Valencia Woods Nursing Home and was a member of Allegheny Valley VFC.
She is survived by her children, Edward (Terril) Unks, Pamela (George) Manning and Andrew J. Dorrier; her grandchildren, Brett (Meghan) Unks, Ryan Unks, Antonio (Amanda) Mattone, Cara Mattone, Stephanie Manning, Alysha Freehling, Matthew (Tera) Donnelly and Megan (Craig) Johnson; and her great-grandchildren, Amelia and Isabel Unks, Dante and Adelina Mattone, Benjamin, Christopher and Abigal Donnelly and Colin Johnson.
DORRIER - The family of Shirley (Gibson) Dorrier, who died Monday, June 29, 2015, welcomed friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. David Clawson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Cheswick.

As a child I spent so much time at the Dorrier home and have many fond memories of those days. Mrs. Dorrier always called me "Sweet One!" She was like a second Mom to me for a long time-she fed me, gave me rides and let me spend the night. When I think about growing up, she is always part of those memories.
I'm sorry for your loss. I know you'll miss her.
