Garnett, Shirley Ruth Casselman of Pearl City Hawaii, died on Monday, May 15, 2006, at Hemet Valley Hospital in Hemet, California, after a long illness. Mrs. Garnett was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 17, 1935, to the parents of Ruth Olive Hicks from Farmington Waupaca County, Wisconsin and Mr. John LeRoy Casselman of Lafayette, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Mrs. Garnett spent her early years in Milwaukee and graduated Chicago Vocational High School, Chicago Illinois. She met Mr. Charles Lyndal Garnett from Graves County Kentucky and they were married on April 14, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois. Born to this union were a son William Charles Garnett and a daughter Clarice Edna Garnett. Mrs. Garnett is preceded in death by her ex-husband Mr. Charles Lyndal Garnett of Harrisburg, Illinois, a grandson Charles Lyndal Garnett II of Honolulu, Hawaii, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Casselman Dube of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Clara Casselman Smith of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and one brother, Mr. Frank LeRoy Casselman, Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Garnett worked for several companies in Chicago. She was a concessionaire at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Prior to leaving Hawaii in February 2006, Mrs. Garnett worked for several companies in downtown Honolulu. Mrs. Garnett leaves behind one son Mr. William Charles Garnett of Kempner, Texas and one daughter Mrs. Clarice Edna Giudice McGary of Hemet, California, one son-in-law Mr. Larry McGary and one daughter-in-law Mrs. Betty P. Garnett and five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, grandchildren include, Mr. Vincent Giudice Jr, Rigby Idaho, Mrs. Cynthia Maria Cody, Avadale Arizona, Miss Christina Marie Giudice, Hemet California, and Master William Charles Garnett II, Kempner, Texas and Charles Lyndal Garnett Il, deceased, great- grandchildren include, Kyle Vincent Giudice, Tanner Vincent Giudice, Natacha Michelle Williams, Brittany Nicole Williams, Ashley Brook Coen, and Autumn Hayden Cody. She is also survived by a half brother Mr. Richard John Noble, Oakton, Virginia. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garnett lived the last 19 years in Hawaii prior to moving from 3125 South Shields, Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Hemet, California in February 2006, due to declining health to be near her daughter. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She joined the church and was confirmed a member of the Logan Square Ward, Chicago Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Milner/Orr Funeral Home, in Bardwell Carlisle County, Kentucky with interment at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Melber, Graves County, Kentucky.
