Stephen Fitsko Obituary
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joan M. Fitsko; children, Lynn (Rex) Robbins, Stephen A. "Tony" (Sherrie) Fitsko, Jr., James (Coral) Fitsko and Katherine "Katy" (Mark) Cloutier; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Norman (Joan) Fitsko; sister, Louise (Frank) Stephens. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Bertha Fitsko; son, Michael Fitsko; sister, Carlene McComb as well as his infant brother, Dale.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-9 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879). Prayers will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9:45 A.M. and proceed to Our Lady of Lourdes, Catholic Church located at 6149 Hill Ave. in Toledo for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Stephen's name to the Holland American Legion Post # 646.

There will never be another you Uncle Stevie. Yep, He broke the mold. I'll always have my memories of all those times you were there for me....co-signing for my first car, letting me use your truck when I was home on leave,all the picnics, card games, sledding,the positive support you offered all thru my military career, but most of all always being there when I needed that shoulder to cry on or just lend an ear. I'm sorry about your loss of a good husband father grandfather greatgrandfather and friend. He will be missed!! I'm sorry i couldn't make it today or tomorrow. But he will be missed alot. I'll truly miss my dear friend Steve Fitsko. He was a good friend who had a great smile and personality. When we worked together at Raceway Park, he would always bring a smile to everyone who came in contact with him. We had lots of fun golfing or just getting together for good times. My thoughts and prayers are with his family! Rest in peace my friend!

My deepest sympathy to the entire Fitsko family. I went to school with Steve, Norman and Louise at Little Flower. Steve was ahead of me, Norman was in my class and Louise behind me. They were such a nice, warm family and I'm glad that I knew them. RIP Steve. I know God has surely welcomed you warmly home. You're in my heart and prayers.

5yr ago when my husband Dave was so sick, I would stop at the Legion & there would be sweet Steve to give me the biggest & best hug!! That hug got me through the next day & every day after until I was able to rehug!! Thanks Steve for all you huggs they were the best!! Joan, Tony, Sherry & family you are so in my thoughts & prayers!
