Teresa Denlinger

Teresa Lee Joy Denlinger, 52, of Blackfoot, passed away, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Terri was born June 6, 1965 to Katherine Edith Goodsell Joy and Robert Orton Joy in Pomona, California.
She traveled with her family to Western Samoa, Guam and Japan. While in Western Samoa, she attended LDS Primary School in Pesega, Samoa.
Terri lived in Hawaii for 11 years and graduated from Kahuku High School in Oahu. The graduation service took place at the Polynesian Culture Center. She loved Hawaii and always talked about the time she spent there.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and baking, and loved her cat, Grinley.
She married Jared Denlinger on March 13, 1999, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  They were later divorced.
Terri was a homemaker and mom to two wonderful boys, Jason and Justin. She would do anything for her boys. When she would talk about them she would laugh and get a twinkle in her eyes. They were her pride and joy.
Terri is survived by her sons, Jason Robert Denlinger and Justin Layne Denlinger of Blackfoot; her father, Robert Joy of Mackay, Idaho; her sisters, Barbara Lynn Joy and Lisa Ann Joy, both of Michigan, and Cheryl Sun Wha Joy (Ole Michael) Hagen of Norway; and her brother James Robert (Deborah Stewart) Joy of Utah.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Edith Goodsell Joy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Blackfoot South LDS Stake Center, 900 Riverton Road in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home and again on Friday at the church for an hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
