Columbus, GA- Terry Allen Jones, 46, of Columbus passed away on February 15, 2011 at the Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Friday, February 18, 2011 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 pm, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the funeral home. Terry was born in Miami, Florida on August 27, 1964 to the late Myrtle Ree Jones and Terry Nickels. Mr. Jones was raised by his grandmother Myrtle Powell who he called mama. Terry resided at the Veranda Assisted living home at the time of his illness. He served his Country in the United States Navy and was a plant manager before his illness. Survivors include his grandmother "his mama" Myrtle Powell, his aunt Dell Winstead of Mauk, GA., his aunt Brenda Ruth Weekly and Bob, two brothers, John Jones who was there for him and Ben Hockman, two sisters, Linda and Roxanne of Harris County and several other relatives and friends.
