Thomas Grant Hembree

Thomas Grant Hembree, age 81, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Thomas was born October 8, 1940 in Ingram, KY, the son of Allery and Della Mae (Golden) Hembree. He worked in construction and was an Indiana Army National Guardsman for many years. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents; his aunt, Dora Hembree who raised him; his brother, Kenny Hembree and his sister in law, Sharon Hembree.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lavonia (Goodman) Hembree; his son, Thomas Hembree (Holly) of Poland, IN; his daughters, Angel Black (John) of Portland, TN and Christina Moore (Kevin) of Beaver Dam, KY; grandchildren, Lindsay Smalling, Shayla Black, John Collin Black, Grace Black, Brock Moore and Brooklyn Moore; great grandchildren Emerson Moore, Paxton Smalling, Paislyn Smalling and Punter Smalling; his brother Lonnie Hembree of Taylorsville, IN and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Hope Baptist Church. Burial with military rites was in Floral Park Cemetery
