Adler, Valentina C. (nee Klein), age 86, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Valentina is survived by her husband, Richard Adler; 7 children, Bev Adler, Marilyn Adler, Terence (Matyt) Adler, Gloria Runk, Ken (Carrie) Adler, Rose Marie (Mondo) Vargas, and Glenn (Cami) Adler; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Imelda (Leo) Huseman and Ramona (Gordon) Kersey; and brother, Denis (Joan) Klein. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Elizabeth Klein; brothers, Jerome, Marvin, Carroll, and Fred Klein; granddaughter, Holly Cimesa Adler; and sisters, Marjorie and Germane. Valentina was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and The Women of St. Andrew in Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre (2 blks. east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM directly at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 801 W. 73rd Ave., Merrillville, IN with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating. Entombment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Memorial donations may be given to: The United Leukodystrophy or St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
