Vera Badger Obituary
Passed away peacefully on February 13th at Trinity Nursing Home located in Kitchener, Ontario. Wife of the late Richard (Dick) Badger and Mother to Nancy Badger (Hamilton), Patricia Badger (Kitchener), and Mark Badger (Newmarket). Vera Badger was 91 years of age when she passed away. She was the proud Grandmother of Chantal and Maeve Badger, as well as Mother-in-law and friend to Walter Graziani and Nancy L.C. (Clarke) Badger. Mrs. Badger was born in England and was a resident of St. Catharines for most of her life prior to retirement, when she moved to Grimsby, ON where she lived overlooking Lake Ontario. She received degrees in languages and library science from The University of Toronto, McGill University in Montreal, PQ and Tuffts University in Boston, MA. She was known to many residents of St. Catharines and Grimsby for the help she gave while working and volunteering at various library branches. Mrs. Badger was also known for starting the St. Catharines chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, as well as for her work with various charitable organizations.
Visitation for Vera Badger will be held at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street 905-684-6346, on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Funeral for Mrs. Badger will be held on February 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, 83 Church St. St.Catharines, Ontario. The family of Vera Badger has asked that donations be made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society in lieu of flowers. On-line condolences may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com

Mark, Nancy, Chantal and Maeve,
We are so sorry for your loss. I know these past few years have been difficult for Vera and yourselves but still a very difficult time when our loved ones are gone. I truly believe, they are all together, they will all forever watch over us, keeping us strong, healthy and together, with the support of friends and family. To Nancy, Mark and Patty: it seems like 3 or 4 life-times ago that my Dad used to sell trucks to your Dad, or I would play at your home with the other neighbourhood kids. I just got off the phone with my Mom who told me about the loss of your Mom. I am so very sad for the 3 of you and your families, but hope you will be able to be comforted by the idea that your Mom will still be watching over all of you. God bless you all and may He bear you in the palm of his hand during your grieving.

A lovely lady with always a smile from ear to ear. Positive energy and carisma with always a nice thing to say. I may have only met her a handfull of times but I know that she had the " RIGHT STUFF ". Her resting place will be " TOPS ".
