Verne Munro Eke

Like many young musicians growing up in the Olympia of the 1950s, Verne was a force to be reckoned with. His love of music and learning were contagious. He gave us many opportunities to experience great art and meet its challenge. He was a unique, eccentric, and generous man. I will always cherish my memories of Verne during those golden days of the Contemporary Arts Festival. I hope he knew how much love and respect we had for him.
