Matt & family -
My mom (Peg) worked with Jean at the House. She always spoke so highly of Jean...she had such respect and love for her. So sorry for your loss.

Jean,
You gave me my first opportunity to work in my field of study (Journalism) when you hired me to work at the House of Representatives Public Information Office. You overlooked my lack of "true" experience and provided guidance and mentorship to me. Today, I'm a Marketing Manager and it's because you believed in me that I've had the opportunities to move up in my career. I'll always remember you as a kind and thoughtful person who always dressed as if you were ready for the runway! :-) Rest in peace and thank you.

Jean, You were truly my mentor and friend. I began the journey with you at the Minnesota House of Representatives Public Information Office in 1973 just out of college. I have so many fond memories of that journey as we worked so hard to bring the legislature to the people. When I asked you to "help" me with the Governor's Residence book "Times & Tastes", you not only helped, you made it a #1 local best seller. You will always be in my heart. My condolences and sympathy go to Matt & family.

It was a pleasure to have had Jean as a faculty colleague in the Journalism Department at the College of St. Thomas. I am saddened to learn of her death, and extend sincere condolences to her family and to everyone who knew and loved her.

Jean,

To my remarkable mother-in-law who loved me like a daughter all these years I wish you a free spirit and a calm soul. To me you were beauty and grace; someone who deeply loved her family and so many others. You now live in my heart and will be there always. I love you.

Dear Matt and Family,
What an honor and joy it was to know Jean and to still know you Matt. Your relationship with each other always brought to mind "...and the two shall become one."
I always felt good when Jean played bridge with Mom (Donna Johnson.) They seemed to always have each other's backs.
We love her so very much and will miss her dearly. Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
Much love, Donna and Laurie
