MOORE, SC-- Ms. Virginia Moody Spaw, 86, of 109 Castleford Road, Moore, died Thursday, January 15, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was born September 17, 1922, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Ruby and Percy Moody. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Spartanburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Harlen Moody and Dr. Harold Moody, and her daughter, Kay Phillips. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Buss, and Pat Powers and her husband Lee, all of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Mike Buss and his wife Donna of Dallas, TX, Tim Buss and his wife Leisa of Los Angeles, CA, LeAnn Lane and her husband Andy, and Beth Powers, all of Spartanburg; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, at the Spartanburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church conducted by Pastor Jerry LeFayve. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church.
