Walter Kollenberg Obituary
After a long struggle with lung disease, Walter passed away at the age of 74, on March 22nd, 2015.
Born in Velbert, Germany, to Walter and Henriette, he is predeceased by his sisters Ursel and Ruth (Rudolpf).
Survived by his partner of many years, Ricky, his sister Traudel (Gerhard) his sons Klaus (Laura) and Ralph, as well as grandchildren Stefan and Anna. He is also survived by his former spouse Henny. Walter grew up with a great love of carpentry, which he made his career. Moving to Canada in 1967, he showed ingenious solutions for design problems with great craftsmanship. He brought his passion to the custom food showcase manufacturing industry throughout North America. He is also mourned by many co-workers, past and present. Celebration of life services will be planned for a future date. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.firstmemorialportcoquitlam.com.
