Walter Wegener

WEGENER, Walter My love of a lifetime Died on May 7, 2009 in his ninety-third year. Tordis (Lillen) Wegener, Peter Wegener, son, and wife Irene. Grandchildren Paul Wegener, Heather and Christopher Palmer, Tim and Kori Wegener. Great-grandchildren. Walter was one of the last remaining fighters with Rommel in North-Africa. He was an electrical engineer and worked for most of his life with aluminum companies in Germany and Canada. In his youth he was a long-distance rower; swimmer, tennis player and skier. Walter contributed regularly to the Canadian Wildlife Federation and to the Salvation Army. He loved his house on the lake in Philipsburg and he loved his wife of sixty years. You will be with me till I join you.
