Warren Littlefield Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 20, 2016.
BELFAST, ME AND ZEPHYRHILLS, FL - Warren Frank Littlefield, 85, husband of Gloria Curtis Littlefield, died on June 12, 2016 in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was born in Belfast, Maine, to Henry and Selena Carson Littlefield on May 23, 1931.

Warren grew up on his parent's farm in Belfast with his sister and three brothers where he learned the value of a strong work ethic, love of family, integrity, and self reliance. In his early adult life, Warren worked with his father and brother raising chickens. He left the farm and joined the team at Penobscot Frozen Foods and was responsible for developing the twice baked stuffed potato that is still being sold nationwide. Later he worked at Northern Chemical Plant and at Frost and Wilkins where he became a master oil burner specialist. Before retiring and moving to Florida he worked as maintenance supervisor at the Waldo County Tech School. He held these full time jobs as well as part time jobs while raising his family. He became his friends' and family's electrician, mechanic, plumber, mason, carpenter, landscaper, gourmet chef, gardener, meat cutter, and woodsman. He was much admired and respected as a hard working man who could do anything. Warren had a great sense of humor and loved keeping the whole family laughing as he recalled childhood memories. The ever present twinkle in his blue eyes and big smile lit up every room he entered. People were drawn to him and loved him. He and Gloria moved to Florida in 1991 and enjoyed many years there with wonderful friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Gene Littlefield; sisters-in-law Wilda Dooley Littlefield and Brenda Fraser Littlefield; and first wife and mother of his children, Phyllis Bachelder Littlefield. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria and her children Kevin, Tammy, and Mark Kelley; his daughter Debbie and her husband Steve Bird; and his sons Brian Olson, Mitchell Littlefield, and Kippy Faulkner. He leaves his brothers Maurice and wife Julia, and Gary and wife Viola; and his sister Beverly and husband Roy Thomas. He adored and was adored by his grandchildren Cara and Seth Bird, Jaime and Henry Littlefield, Courtney Burns, and Bryant Richardson. He will be missed by his great grandchildren, his many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless friends. He was well loved and admired. His memory lives on in each of us.

A late summer internment and celebration of his life will take place at the Pitcher Road cemetery and at his daughter's home in Belfast.

The last time I saw Warren was at Kip's wedding reception. He looked very happy and as always, smiling and glad to see people. He was at my house many times during the 60's and 70's and there are numerous great memories that include him. He will be missed and fondly remembered.
