Wilfred J. "Bill" Buchholz

Buchholz, Wilfred J. "Bill," 77, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2003. Visitation 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary; additional visitation 6 to 7 p.m.; rosary 7 p.m. both Tuesday; service 10 a.m. Wednesday, all at St. Jude Catholic Church. Bill was born Oct. 14, 1925 in Garden Plain, Kan. He was married on Oct. 15, 1947 to Leatha Lunbery at St. Mary Cathedral in Wichita. He served in World War II in the 101st Airborne Division. Bill was retired from Chance Manufacturing as an industrial painter. Preceded in death by son, Larry J. Buchholz in 1998. Survivors: wife, Leatha Buchholz of Wichita; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Arthur Bell of Auxvasse, Mo., Kathy and Joe Herridge of Chanute, Sheri and Doug Duncan of Wichita; sister, Alberta Mosier of Kansas City; brothers-in-law, Adolf Seiwert, Bill Bole; daughter-in-law, Beth Buchholz of Wichita; grandchildren, Jeff and Jennifer Shryock of Columbia, Mo. Aaron and Clifton Bell of Auxvasse, Mo., Courtney Buchholz, Brianna, Kaylee and Amber Duncan all of Wichita, Nathan and Alicia Herridge of Chanute; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Will Shryock.
