TURNER, William Pittman Major U.S.A.F (Retired) Age 80, of Huber Heights, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005 at his residence. William was born Nov. 3, 1925 in New Orleans, LA; drafted in 1943 and served in the paratroops infantry in France & Germany. He received BS in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University New Orleans, LA; MS in Electronic Engineering from George Washington University Washington DC; MA in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut Storrs, CT. The U.S.A.F. holds the patent on William's & Ed Turner's invention of the Scimitar Antenna. William was the author of a book on Besel Functions. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne J.; sons, William R. Turner of AZ, Shawn D. Turner of Huber Heights; daughter, Linda S. Crothers of Rapid City, ND; grandchildren, Alanna, Sonja, Joshua & Rebecca. Private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Homes, Huber Heights Chapel.
