I just learned of Harry's passing and am saddened by the news. I haven't been back to Lake City in a few years and haven't kept in touch. I remember Harry as being about the kindest most caring cousin I had. He gave me a job during Christmas vacation from college at Western Auto. That was something he didn't have to do, but that was the kind of fellow he was. I always enjoyed his singing in church with RL Cockfield, and am sure many others will always remember it, too. He was one of Lake City's finest.

I have great memories of Mr. Harry when he was at the Western Auto Store in Lake City. He never failed to have a smile and give me a cheerful word when I came in the store. When my wife Cindy first moved to Lake City to teach school she was very homesick and alone and Harry's daughter Lynn suggested looking up her parents. They treated her like a family member and Cindy became good friends with the whole family. We are deeply sorry that Harry has left us, but we shall see him again one day in Heaven. God bless each and every one of you.
