FAIRFIELD < Willis H. "Bill" Horn Jr., 68, a Fairfield resident, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, after a brief illness.
Mr. Horn was born June 27, 1938 in Los Angeles He was a member of the U.S. Air Force as a military policeman, then worked in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, the Solano County Sherriff's Office, Onizuka Air Force Station/NASA Ames Research Center and as an investigator for Solano County Social Services.
Mr. Horn was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West and a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Zimmerman) Horn; stepdaughter, Tara and Steven Janice of El Dorado Hills; son, Willis (Bill) Horn III of Brentwood; stepson, Lance Zimmerman of West Sacramento; grandchildren Kristina Horn, Morgan Janice, Garrett Janice, Joseph Zimmerman.
He was preceded in death by son, Mark Horn; brother, Roland (Jerry) Horn; parents, Willis (Bill) Horn Sr. and Octa Horn.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.
Contributions are preferred to Alzheimer's.

I worked with Bill when he was with Social Services. He was a good friend and although I had not seen him in a few years, I will miss him. My prayers go out to his family.
