News Death Notice

FERGUSON, Winston Byron age 88 of Kettering passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012. Winston was preceded in death by seven siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna; a brother, Everett Ferguson; a brother-in-law and his wife, George and Jean Hellwig; and many nieces and nephews. Winston was a graduate of Patterson Co-Op High School in 1942, served in the Army Air Corp during WW II. Before WW II he worker for Master Electric and again just after WW II. He was employed with NCR as a Project Engineer for 25 years retiring in 1987. During his employment with NCR he then graduated from the University of Dayton in 1964 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and also attended Ithaca College where he received an honorary degree and was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon Fraternity. Winston was very proud of a patent he was involved in for AT & T. He attended Hope Lutheran church and became a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. Winston and his wife were avid University of Dayton Sports Fans. Interment Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
