Yvonne Griffin Beraldi

Yvonne Griffin Beraldi was born on October 29, 1949 to Gloria and Al Griffin in New York City, New York. The younger of two children, Yvonne had an older brother Osa (nee Ronald). Educated in New York, Yvonne attended the Academy of St. Joseph. After she graduated from high school in 1967, Yvonne moved to Los Angeles, California. In 1974, Yvonne gave birth to the first love of her life, her son Martin. She was a devoted mother who always made her son her priority. Yvonne and five-year-old Martin met Robert Beraldi, who took an immediate interest in both Yvonne and her son. After six months of bringing Martin books and "courting" Yvonne, Robert and Yonne united in Holy Matrimony on August 11, 1979. They remained dedicated to one another for thirtynine remarkable years. Yvonne worked as a secretary in Social Services for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. In the late 1980's, Yvonne changed jobs and was employed as a secretary for the Air Force Division of the United States Department of Defense. She was a diligent employee for over fifteen years before she retired in 2004. Yvonne was very active in the Culver City community after she, Robert and Martin moved there in 1983. She was a volunteer for the Babe Ruth Culver City Baseball League, many of her son's activities, and various events in the community. She was also active in the Kaiser Permanente Fitness Program. Because she always had a love of dancing, in 2014, she became a Zumba instructor. She developed a multicultural style of teaching dance and aerobic exercises to Latin-American music. She truly cared for the people who took her class and was of great benefit to the Culver City Senior Center. Yvonne inspired many to live a healthier lifestyle.
On June 27, 2018, Yvonne Griffin Beraldi made her peaceful transition at home in the company of her husband Bob. Her last words were "I love you." To cherish her precious memory, she leaves her devoted husband Robert Beraldi, son Martin Goss and his wife Richina, grandchildren Arianna Goss, Mia Goss, Kyle McKinney, Sydney Goss, Jeremiah Goss and brother Osa Griffin along with nieces, nephews, other loving family, dear friends, and all those she touched and loved.
