Sharon O'Mara Obituary

ADRIAN - Sharon Louise O'Mara, 79, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility after a short illness with her family at her side.

Sharon was born July 2, 1936, in Detroit to the late Grant G. and Helena (Wendt) Reava. She grew up in Minden City, Mich., and attended Harbor Beach High School. Sharon held many jobs over the years as a cook at the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department, Meijer and Albertson's. Sharon worked and met many friends. She shared those experiences though the years. Sharon loved to play golf, watch her sons race harness horses, make crafts for numerous functions, played bingo in just about any form, and she loved to cook for her friends and family. Sharon was a member of the local Loyal Order of Moose holding many positions and being involved there was truly her passion.

Sharon is survived by her children, Dan (Kristy), Mark (Martha), Crystal, Dawn and Sean; her sister, Gail Burton; grandchildren, Angie, Patrick (Gina), Ryan (Sara), Michael (Cassie), Kevin, Jessica, Joshua, Shawn (Brittany), Devin, Meghan and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Lorelai, Bentley, Cole, Destiny, Kaleigha, Milak, Helena, Caitlin, McKinley and Adalay; niece Laura and nephew Bryan.

Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Dale; brother-in-law, Wesley Burton; and her parents.

A memorial to celebrate Sharon will be held from 2 until 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Adrian Moose Club, 427 W. Maumee St, Adrian. Condolences may be sent to The O'Mara Family at 944 Savannah River Drive, Adrian, MI 49221. Arrangements were under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
