Christine Schmiedebusch Obituary
HARROD -- Christine "Chris" Donelda Schmiedebusch, 70 of Harrod, passed away September 15, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System. Chris was born October 15, 1952 in Lima to Donald and Betty (Gardner) Dotson, who preceded her in death.
On July 12, 1969, she married John Schmiedebusch, who preceded her in death in 2018.
Chris was a homemaker and she was a strong supporter of the Chained Eagles of Ohio Organization for the POW / MIA awareness. She was an avid beekeeper who ran over 1,000 hives and sold her honey by the semi-load until her retirement in 2000. Chris loved "game day" where she would play cards, board games and dice with family and friends, she enjoyed watching Westerns and going to Bingo. She was a proud 10-year survivor of a lung transplant and she had the opportunity to pay that gift forward by becoming a donor herself. Most of all, she loved her family and she loved spending time with her family.
Chris is survived by her children, John (Chantal) Schmiedebusch, II, Diana (Lance) Criblez, Randy Schmiedebusch and Stacy Schmidt; grandchildren, Alicianna, Ariana, Johnny III, Lauren, Gabriel, Eli, Levi, Cole, Hailey, Robby, Jacob and Liam; three great-grandchildren; six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Chiles-Lamn Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel with Rev. Neal Whitney to officiate the service. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Chained Eagles of Ohio Organization, 2426 Britt Ave., Lima, OH 45806.
