LIMA -- Doris "Elaine" (Benedict) Miller, age 97 of Lima, passed away on May 1, 2024. Elaine was born on October 23, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to the late Lee and Celia Catherine (Frazier) Benedict. She graduated from Lima South High School in 1944 and attended Tiffin Business School. On April 12, 1947, she married John "Al" Miller and was a devoted and loving wife until Al's passing on October 5, 1989.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She worked in many companies in the Lima area as a temporary office worker, as well as a church secretary at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Lima. She always took pride in her beautiful yard and enjoyed gardening well into her 90's. Elaine was an avid cook and baker. She took great pleasure in serving family dinners on holidays and birthdays and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elaine was preceded in death by her mother; father; husband; son-in-law – Donald Frank; and brothers – Donald Benedict and Ned Benedict.
Elaine is survived by her children: Rodney of Lima; Randall (Elizabeth) of Columbus, and Roschelle Frank of Lima; four grandchildren: Emily Hunter (Michael) of Chicago; Patrick Miller of Columbus; Derek Frank of Ada; and Dustin Frank of Marysville; four great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
Private family services will be held, and she will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Matthew Cemetery.

I remember Elaine was a friend of my mom's, and was very helpful to my mom after she lost my step dad. She was always so sweet! You all have my condolances. May she Rest in Peace.
